Cottage Theatre presents:

"Slabtown vs. Lemati OR The Feud That Made “Going Postal” Popular"

An original melodrama by Keith Kessler. Directed by Janet Rust. Musical Direction by Catricia Gill.

Sponsored by Umpqua Bank.

This family-friendly melodrama tells the story of the Hatfields and McCoys, feuding rivals who lived on opposite sides of the river in the long-ago towns of Slabtown and Lemati. Harley Hatfield and Mac McCoy both want to be the mayor and both want to have the new federal post office located on their side of the river. Meanwhile, they don’t want their children to have anything to do with one another. . . .

Written especially for Cottage Theatre by local playwright Keith Kessler, this show features young actors (ages 9 - 14) from the theatre’s summer melodrama camp. The audience will join in the melodrama fun with an old-fashioned sing-along and plenty of booing and hissing at the villains.

TICKETS:

All seats are $5 and are available online at www.cottagetheatre.org, by phone at (541)942-8001 or at the door.
