Anticipate Pie

Historic buildings in downtown Cottage Grove, Oregon, have reverberated with the soulful, direct rock stylings of local quartet Anticipate Pie since the spring of 2009. Early that year, songwriter/guitarist Jon Stinnett managed to recruit a powerful vehicle for his tunes through conversations over beers at the Axe & Fiddle Pub.
Early Pie gigs found the group experimenting with just how heavy it could be. Soon a more layered texture of sound came to dominate the group, and the Pie started to come into its own as a live act.
Today their sound finds an airier dynamic and more experimental outlook. At its best, the band—Jeremy Roth, keys and guitar, Rosie Kirincic on vocals and guitar, Chris Shelton, bass,  Jonathan Behr on drums, plus Stinnett on lead vocals and guitar,  recalls the early drive of the Buffalo Springfield and the dawning of acid rock while staking its claim to an original musical future.
