Gold Panning & Mining Camp Display

Be sure to visit the Bohemia Mine Owners Association display area in Coiner Park’s Bohemia City and chat with some present day miners. They offer free gold panning demonstrations and provide a replica of a miner’s log cabin. For a small fee you can pan for gold and take home your efforts as a special souvenir of BMD.

Bi-Mart Family Fun Zone

The Bohemia Mining Days Festival, since its inception, has always been a fun family-friendly community event. A new attraction this year is the Bi-Mart Family Fun Zone in Coiner Park. Features include the Toddler Zone, free Micro-Reality Racing on a 30-foot NASCAR-style track and a Wii Hunting Competition.

Mechanical Bull Riding

Back in Cottage Grove's Victorian Era, unlike today, there were limited opportunities for entertainment. During this period of time The Grove was just a village surrounded by farmland. For fun children and adults would test their skills at riding a bull and over time some went on ride competitively.
