Thread the Needle

Keep a sharp eye out... get it? Sharp? Eye? I crack myself up sometimes...

Sponsored by Pandora's Box

Open to all age groups.

Prospectors, by necessity, often found themselves repairing their own clothing, tent canvas, and various bags and sacks, so sewing needles and thread were a vital part of any prospector’s supply.  And that there is where we diverge pretty sharply from history, and do something entirely silly that we’re pretty sure never actually happened.  Here’s how it works:

Start by getting yourself a partner, ‘cause this is a team game.  One of you holds a sewing needle, and the other one holds a piece of thread.  At the sound of the bell, the thread-holder runs across the Contest Ground to the needle-holder and then, without touching the needle, the thread-holder attempts to run that thread through the needle’s eye.  Once that’s been accomplished, the needle-holder runs to the starting line, holding the threaded needle aloft in glorious victory.  The first team to finish wins!

Prizes: $10 and 5 Feud Points to each person on the winning team; 3 Feud Points to each person on the second place team; 1 Feud Point for each participant.
