This game’s gonna be played several times.  Don’t worry; you don’t have to be at all of ‘em... but you can if you wanna!  Also, this game isn’t limited to the Contest Ground; it’s gonna be played throughout Bohemia City, for reasons that should soon be abundantly clear...

You’re a bounty hunter, hated and feared by criminals.  Of course, you’ve got a bit of a checkered past yourself, so you know how criminals think.

You have a target - some ne’er-do-well that you need to sneak up on and capture.  You’ll recognize them because the playing card you’re holding in your hand will match the card that’s pinned to your target’s shirt... easy enough, right?  So here’s the catch: you also have someone out there - though you don’t know who - who’s trying to capture you.

Of course, this being a friendly sort of festival, you won’t actually be using any force to subdue anybody.  Instead, you “capture” a target by getting behind them, tapping them on the back, and saying, “Gotcha.”  Then they’re out of the game, and they give you the card of the person they were hunting.  Now you continue, but now you’re hunting your victim’s original target.  You continue in this way until time runs out, until you get captured, or until you capture someone who was hunting you.  Whoever captures the most cards wins!

Now, if you’re wondering how to defend yourself against that yellow-bellied cur who’s out to capture you, you’ve just gotta be paranoid enough to catch ‘em sneaking up on you.  If you can point at him or her and holler “Bounty Hunter!” before they get their hand on your back to say “Gotcha!”, they’ve gotta leave immediately and can’t try to capture you again until after they’ve walked to the farthest edge of the park.  Plus, now you know who they are, so you can avoid ‘em that much more easily.
