Gold’s been found and the local population is growing rapidly.  Demand is high for houses, saloons, churches, brothels, and outhouses, and it’s your job to provide ‘em!  At the sound of the starting bell, pound ten nails flush into the railroad ties provided, and if you’re the first one done, you win!

Note, however, that bent-over nails don’t count; the head of each nail is the only part allowed to show when you’re done, or you’ll be scorned and reviled as an incompetent hack by all the fine gentlemen and lovely ladies of the county.  Oh, and there’s no need to provide your own hammer; we’ll have hammers aplenty eagerly awaiting the touch of your sweaty, calloused paw.
